With Star Wars Celebration just a few months away — after being delayed for two years in a row due to the pandemic — the celebrity guest list has finally made its way to the fans.

StarWars.com announced earlier today that beloved celebrities from the franchise will be making their return to the Anaheim convention in May 2022.

Currently, revealed celebrity guests include Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Ashley Eckstein (the voice of Ahsoka Tano) and Ian McDiarmid (Palpatine).

Daniels has appeared in all 11 feature Star Wars films — even Solo: A Star Wars Story, the only instance he didn’t play C-3PO. Several years ago, the actor published a memoir, I Am C-3PO, in which he chronicled his various experiences as a major part of the franchise since the very beginning.

Eckstein first voiced Ahsoka in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and reprised her role in Star Wars: Rebels. While she will not be portraying the character in live-action, she remains a beloved member of the Star Wars family and has written several books for Star Wars fans. She makes regular appearances at events and is the founder of Her Universe, which creates multi-fandom merchandise and apparel.

Ian McDiarmid first portrayed Emperor Palpatine in 1983’s Return of the Jedi and later reprised the role in the prequel films and, most recently, in The Rise of Skywalker. The actor has recently suggested he would be delighted to return to the franchise, but an Obi-Wan Kenobi appearance has yet to be confirmed. Perhaps all will be revealed when the show premieres just before Celebration on May 25.

Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022 takes place from May 26 to May 29 with more guests, panels and more to be announced in the weeks leading up to the event. Stay tuned for more coverage before and during the convention.
