All Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga episodes ranked!

We Star Wars fans love to rank the films. Let’s Lego-ify that conversation!

I, like so many of you, have been utterly enthralled with Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Basically every day since its release, I’ve spent more than a few hours planet-hopping in pursuit of kyber bricks, hidden Wookiees, and so much more. I’m confident that it’s going to end up as one of my favorite games of 2022, and I’m equally confident that I know this game inside and out, at this point. You don’t get to 100% across nearly 80 hours without picking up a thing or two.

Now that game has been in the hands of the public for a couple of weeks, now is as good a time as any to look back on the story experience TT Games has crafted. There is so much to do here, but the story missions make up the meat of the package. Besides, ranking the films is always a fun thing to do, so why not rank the films’ Lego representations?

Some quick housekeeping before we dive in, then. Initially, The Skywalker Saga tells these stories with a blend of missions, and “open world” side-quests. When replaying the episodes, you can only play out the story missions, and some parts of each episode are consigned to being playable once (escaping the Trade Federation Ship at the beginning of The Phantom Menace, for example). I’ve ranked each episode based on what is replayable, rather than each episode as a whole.

I’ve also tried to keep my personal film rankings as separate from these rankings as possible. While it was very difficult to not let my personal feelings affect how I enjoyed one or two of these episodes, I’ve tried to focus more on the gameplay than the plot points they’re replicating.
