A guide to all the May the 4th: Star Wars Day merch, toys, deals and more
It’s every Star Wars fan’s favorite day of the year: May the 4th, a.k.a. Star Wars Day.
And because the Star Wars fandom is one of the biggest out there, with fans clamoring for any way to show off their love of the galaxy far, far away, May the 4th is also a day f ull of announcements, reveals, and releases of new toys and merchandise.
Nearly every product type and industry you can think of is getting in on the Star Wars action – from LEGO, Build-A-Bear, and books to luxury bedding, candles, and Star Wars-themed dog toys and treats.
Every year, the amount of new Star Wars merchandise gets even more overwhelming, so here’s a guide to some of the biggest products and deals to find on May the 4th.
New products
LEGO
For Star Wars Day, LEGO will release a new member of the Ultimate Collector Series: Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder.
LEGO also has freebies depending on how much you spend on the website. Spend more than $160 and get a LEGO Lars Family Homestead Kitchen complete with an Aunt Beru minifig. Spend more than $40 and get a miniature LEGO AT-ST.
ShopDisney
ShopDisney, of course, has a bunch of new Star Wars products, including commemorative May the 4th t-shirts. There are three different styles – a bright yellow with the May the 4th 2022 logo on the front, a white shirt featuring Grogu, and a black tee showcasing the most notorious bounty hunters in the galaxy.
And for the big-budget collector, shopDisney will have the Ahsoka Tano Legacy Lightsaber Hilts in a collectible box starting at 7 a.m. PT on May 4.
Her Universe
The popular fandom-inspired clothing and accessories brand Her Universe already released its new collections of Star Wars pieces. Some of the standout pieces include a hooded cape and dress inspired by Ahsoka Tano, a Rebels cardigan, and a Jedi Knights Athletic jersey.
And Her Universe isn’t just for women and girls, there really is something for everyone who loves Star Wars – from t-shirts and tops to sweaters and skirts. Her Universe is also a great spot to find accessories, home and office products, and other collectibles.
Vera Bradley
It’s honestly surprising that Vera Bradley hasn’t had a Star Wars line of bags and accessories. But just in time for May the 4th, the iconic brand teams up with Lucasfilm for a colorful collection combining Vera Bradley’s signature pattern style with symbols and characters from the galaxy far, far away.
The trio of patterns is inspired by the most famous people and places of Star Wars – from Darth Vader and the Death Star to Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia. If you look closely at these eye-catching patterns, you’ll even find Boba Fett, stormtroopers, and X-Wing starfighters.
The new Star Wars | Vera Bradley collection releases on May 4.
Homesick Candles
Homesick, the popular line of candles themed after cities and states people are “homesick” for, launches its first Star Wars line on May 4th. The collection includes a trio of candles themed after Star Wars planets Endor and Tatooine and the Death Star.
The Tatooine candle is inspired by the warm, desert planet’s binary sunset, and the Endor candle imagines the smells of the lush, Ewok-filled forested moon. And the Death Star candle is what the Dark Side of the Force smells like with hints of leather and black myrrh.
The collection also includes a cute Grogu car air freshener, which features gardenia, lavender, and rosemary scents.
BarkBox
This month’s BarkBox theme is for all the Star Wars-loving pooches out there. There are two options for the treat and toy-filled box: the Dark Side and the Light Side.
Some of the toys in these boxes include a reversible The Droid You’re Looking For R2-D2, That’s No Moon, Chew Are My Only Hope, and the Ultimutt Jedi Lightsaber. There are also plenty of other Star Wars dog toys in BarkBox’s collection, including a Darth Vader plush with a removable helmet, a fuzzy Chewbacca, a squeaky Jabba the Hutt, and an adorable plush AT-AT.
There are also Dagobah Dog Bites and Mos Eisley Munchies, among other Star Wars-themed treats.
BarkBox subscriptions start at $23 a month, and Super Chewer boxes start at $29 a month.
Sobel Westex Star Wars Home Collection
Hospitality and luxury home goods company Sobel Westex is known for some of its fandom-inspired collections, including an upcoming line inspired by Disney Resorts.
For May the 4th, Sobel Westex launched a new Star Wars Home Collection full of bedding and other comfy-cozy goods inspired by the films. There are four key collections in this new line: the Jedi Collection, the Tatooine Collection, the Astromech Collection, and the Dark Side Collection.
Each collection includes bedding and sheet sets, pillows, blankets, and throws inspired by the textures of Jedi robes, the iconic desert planet, the bright and blue droid R2-D2, and the dark black and silver armor of Darth Vader.
The collection also includes Ancient Jedi Text towels inspired by Star Wars language Aurebesh and a chunky knit throw that’s woven in a way inspired by Princess Leia’s braids.
The collection is available to purchase now, but Sobel Westex will have a 25% off sale using code MAY4SW25 running May 4-31.
ColourPop
ColourPop Cosmetics is known for its fandom collaborations, and this isn’t the first time they’ve done a Star Wars collection. But, there’s a new set coming on May 4th.
On Twitter, ColourPop teased what’s coming in the new collection, which is expected to include an eyeshadow pallette, several lip colors, eyeliners, shimmer highlighter, and more.
The new Star Wars set launches at 10 a.m. PT on May 4th.
Stoney Clover Lane
The popular, candy-colored travel brand Stoney Clover Lane finally launches a Star Wars collection on May 4th.
Similar to Vera Bradley, there are several colors/patterns in the Stoney Clover collection – white, pink, light blue, dark blue, and forest green – all with either bold or subtle patterns of characters and symbols from Star Wars. Stoney Clover is also known for its iron-on patches, and there are a bunch of new ones for the Star Wars collection, including letters in the “Star Wars font.”
As for products with these new patterns, there are backpacks, fanny packs, different sizes of pouches, duffel bags, scrunchies, totes, lunch bags, and more.
The collection launches at 10 a.m. ET May 4th on Stoney Clover’s website and its stores around the country.
Check out the collection on their Instagram page.
