LG Electronics teases Star Wars collaboration in Times Square

Star Wars Day 2022 has come and gone, but the celebration of a galaxy far, far away continues. On May 4, LG Electronics USA took a unique approach to announcing an upcoming Star Wars collaboration, and the hype is real — and bright.
LG’s New York Times Square billboard now displays a special message to Star Wars fans in Aurebesh that reads: “You haven’t yet seen the true power of the dark side. Join us. lg.com/us/starwars.”
If you follow that link (above), you’ll find another clue — a message that says: “You’ll never watch Star Wars™ the same way again. It’s a collaboration of galactic proportions: LG and Lucasfilm have officially joined forces. On May 26th at Star War Celebration, an epic new way to experience the saga will be unveiled.”
Star Wars and billboards have been getting along great lately. A few weeks ago, a special Book of Boba Fett billboard appeared to celebrate the character and the series. That one didn’t hold a secret message, though. LG and Lucasfilm really know how to stir up theories.

The LG billboard runs until May 24, and LG and Star Wars will reveal their collaboration after what many consider to be the “real” Star Wars Day (May 25, the day the original film was first released in 1977).
Star Wars has always been about its relatable overarching stories, but its visuals, sounds, and music have added wonder to the experience from the very beginning. It’s unclear what exactly LG has planned. But there’s no doubt the result will make the experience of a galaxy far, far away even more thrilling for all fans watching.
