How Boba Fett could appear in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series

Few Star Wars fans would argue if you said there is no such thing as too much Boba Fett. Many criticisms of The Book of Boba Fett even focused on the fact that there wasn’t enough of the title character in the series itself.

With another series soon to debut on Disney+, it’s no surprise that you might be asking the question on many minds at the moment: Will we see Boba Fett in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series? Or at the very least get a nice name-drop or two?

Inquisitor Reva does say in the trailer that she’s willing to send every bounty hunter possible after Kenobi (at least that’s who we can assume she’s talking about). Boba Fett would be about 10 years older than he was at the end of The Clone Wars and by that point could be either a well-established bounty hunter or desperate to prove himself worthy of being one. Or both.

Daniel Logan (who played young Boba Fett in the prequels) is heading to Star Wars Celebration this year, presumably to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Attack of the Clones. But who knows? His appearance could also be Kenobi-related and we just don’t know it yet.

Does this also mean we could also see other familiar bounty hunters like Bossk — and maybe some new faces in the bounty hunting scene too? “Never say never” is becoming a pretty safe bet when it comes to Star Wars TV. Even if these appearances are small and brief, they still matter a lot to fans and usually don’t take too much away from the larger story. A harmless dose of nostalgia never hurt anyone, right?

Obi-Wan Kenobi stars Ewan McGregor with appearances by Hayden Christensen and Kumail Nanjiani and is directed by Deborah Chow, who previously directed an episode of The Mandalorian. The series is set to premiere May 27, 2022 exclusively on Disney+.
