In less than one week, the long-awaited Obi-Wan Kenobi series finally arrives on Disney+. But if you’re stuck on what to watch to prepare for the event, fear not! The platform distributing the show has you covered.

Yesterday, the Disney+ UK Twitter account released its recommended “watch list” for the week leading up to the Kenobi premiere. A few of its viewing options might suggest Obi-Wan’s past relationship with Duchess Satine Kryze could be part of the show’s plot.

Here are the movies and TV episodes Disney+ recommends watching (again or for the first time) before the Kenobi premiere:

  • May 20: The Phantom Menace
  • May 21: Attack of the Clones
  • May 22: The Clone Wars Movie
  • May 23: The Clone Wars Season 2, Episodes 12-16
  • May 24: The Clone Was Season 4, Episodes 15-18
  • May 25: The Clone Wars Season 5, Episodes 14-16
  • May 26: Revenge of the Sith

The Clone Wars recommendations are the most curious on the list. Season 2’s episodes largely cover story points focused on Mandalore. Season 4’s episodes feature Obi-Wan going undercover as a bounty hunter to foil an evil plot (with Cad Bane at the center). And Season 5’s episodes once again focus on Obi-Wan’s return to Mandalore … and Maul’s takeover of the planet, etcetera.

Though some fans have noted Satine is present in some of the Clone Wars episodes listed in the above watch list, many of them could also point to Kenobi’s past with Maul — even though the character himself apparently will not appear in the show.

And thanks to Reva’s words in the latest trailer we also know bounty hunters will play a role in Kenobi’s story. Perhaps revising these episodes in preparation for the series will be worth the time (if you have it before Star Wars Celebration, that is).

Obi-Wan Kenobi stars Ewan McGregor with appearances by Hayden Christensen and Kumail Nanjiani and is directed by Deborah Chow, who previously directed an episode of The Mandalorian. The series is set to premiere May 27, 2022 exclusively on Disney+.
