As the Star Wars universe continues to expand, many Star Wars fans want to see their favorite characters appear in multiple places.

So far, the new Obi-Wan Kenobi is doing that pretty well. The new show is bringing in the Star Wars: Rebel’s main villains in the forms of Inquisitors such as the Grand Inquisitor and the Fifth Brother. We have also seen some of the original Purge troopers we see in the first game of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order appears in the Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer.

Unfortautlety the first game happens five years before the events of the new Obi-Wan series, but the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor happens at the exact same time. Coincidence? We hope not.

To further specify the timeline we know that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order happens five years after the events of Order 66, and the first episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi happens ten years after Order 66. But in a news release from 2022’s Star Wars Celebration panel we have learned that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be set 10 years after Order 66. This opens up a whole new level of opportunities for cameos in Obi-Wan Kenobi. We could very well see Obi-Wan meet Cal Kestis as he travels the galaxy. And there are a few factors that make that occurrence even more likely than just some fan service.

The first of these factors is that Cal Kestis’s character is based on his voice actor, Cameron Monaghan. Cameron is an experienced actor, well known for his roles in both Shameless and Gotham. The fact that there wouldn’t be any need for recasting to continue with the same character certainly makes this an easy cameo that would be a nice link between the two narratives.

The next factor that links these two projects is the inquisitors themselves. Not only does Cal fight multiple inquisitors, but he was also responsible for fighting Darth Vader in the Fortress Inquisitorius. We know that Hayden Christensen will be reprising his role as Darth Vader and we have seen the  Fortress Inquisitorius in several scenes of the Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer. So if Kenobi wanted an expert in surviving against the inquisitors, Cal Kestis would be a good choice.
