Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 has just been released, and it brings a whole host of new skins, items and weapons, and also the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, Darth Vader.

Vader is accompanied by other Star Wars items, of which can be unlocked at the very end of the Battle Pass. Vader is the latest in a long line of Star Wars tie-ins to Fortnite, which include his former master, Obi Wan Kenobi.

Vader’s appearance in Fortnite acts as a tie-in to the character’s appearance in the Obi Wan Kenobi show, which is currently streaming on Disney+. Players will be able to unlock the Dark Lord by first buying the Battle Pass for Fortnite, and unlocking the previous nine pages of rewards. Once the player has done that, they will then need to complete the page that Darth Vader is on, and earn another nine stars to purchase the skin.

Fortnite has also released several other Darth Vader themed rewards, with a banner icon, loading screen, a Vader emoticon, an Imperial Lambda Class Shuttle glider, a Viper Probe Droid as a backpack, the Sigil of the Empire harvesting tool, an Imperial March emote, the Darth Shader gun skin and finally TIE Fighter contrails. These can be found on page ten of the Battle Pass. Unfortunately, Darth Vader’s lightsaber isn’t usable, and neither is the Force.

Vader’s appearance in Fortnite marks the continuation to its tie-ins with the Star Wars universe. In Chapter 3 Season 2, players could unlock an Obi Wan Kenobi skin, along with his Jedi Interceptor. On May 4th, players could unlock past skins, and could also use lightsabers and E-11 blaster rifles. Players could also participate in the Obi-Kenobi Cup tournament.

Chapter 3 Season 3 will last until September 17, meaning that players will have over three months to unlock Vader.
