Ever since its debut in the 1970s, Star Wars has found a way to embed itself so deeply into our culture that you really couldn’t escape it if you tried (not that you’d want to, reading this post and all). Star Wars characters still regularly appear on food packaging, billboards, events are referenced in popular TV shows and other mega-franchise movies. Star Wars even finds its way into games you might not expect it to.
This week, the mobile adventure Puzzle & Dragons announced a temporary collaboration involving some of your favorite Star Wars characters — like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano.
Puzzle & Dragons is a mobile game in which players capture, collect, level up the skills and abilities of virtual monsters. The game is a combination of dungeon-crawling, monster hunting, and puzzle-solving, which means players will feel the thrill of the experience no matter where they are in the game.
As part of the collaboration, players will be able to utilize the Star Wars Egg Machine, which can unlock special characters that will help win the fight against the Galactic Empire.
Completing certain challenges will also earn players Star Wars Collab Medals, which can be traded at the Monster Exchange for popular characters like BB-8 and Darth Maul. Rey and R2-D2 can also become potential allies in the game depending on what you are able to unlock.
By purchasing different game bundles, players can have even more chances to unlock the Star Wars characters they want to ally with. But don’t wait! This collaboration event only runs in the game for a limited time.
