First look at Star Wars: Jedi Survivor toys
By Matthew Roth
San Diego Comic-Con 2022 has come to an end, and as expected, we did not get a lot of news in the world of Star Wars. However, we did get a few bits from the upcoming sequel to Jedi Fallen Order.
The game titled Jedi Survivor is rumored release spring of 2023 but, we recently got a look at the incoming toys related to the highly anticipated video game.
Hasbro and Lucasfilm have teamed up to launch a line of Star Wars toys which include the Jedi Cal Kestis and a couple of droids that just may look familiar to fans. The figure of Cal Kestis who was a padawan that escaped the great purge during Order 66 and whom the story follows is sporting a new look. We see him aged up as time between the first game and Jedi Survivor is five years and now seems to have a bit of a beard as well as holding a blaster in addition to a blue lightsaber. The figure stands at roughly 3.75 inches tall and includes his droid companion BD-1. The figure is due to hit shelves summer of 2023.
In addition to that we got a look at two droids which you might have first seen in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. The B1 Battle Droid sporting red paint across its body and the K series Security Droid which can be seen holding and electric staff. Both were showcased at the event and each figure stands roughly 6 inches tall and are set to arrive in spring of 2023.
Star Wars: Jedi Survivor is due to release in spring of 2023 coming from Respawn Entertainment and will see Cal and BD-1 on the run from the Empire. The game will be available on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
