LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation doesn’t premiere on streaming service Disney+ until August 5, but you can feast your eyes on a brand-new clip and poster right now!
Former stormtrooper Finn is front and center in both, clad in a rad Hawaiian shirt and ready to get his vacay on. But life is never easy in the galaxy far, far away so of course the vacation aboard the luxurious Halcyon starcruiser (yes, the one you can stay at in Galaxy’s Edge) goes awry.
This is not the first LEGO Star Wars special to hit Disney+ exactly when audiences needed a fun escape into their beloved fantasy world. The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special dropped on Life Day in 2020, and LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales was 2021’s spooky Halloween spectacular. It’s unclear what’s next for these whimsical specials, but based on what we’ve seen in the most recent Summer Vacation clip, fans are going to be begging for more before this special reaches its final moments.
The clip shows discord brewing among the Resistance heroes as they all have different ideas of what counts as a good vacation. (So relatable: anyone else have a Poe in their family?)
Judging from poster’s neon colors, the new clip, and the inclusion of the legendary Weird Al himself, this latest outing in the LEGO Star Wars universe looks to be as cool and refreshing as a popsicle on a hot Scarif summer day. Are you stoked for the new LEGO Star Wars?
LEGO Star Wars: Summer Vacation premieres August 5 on Disney+, with the voice talents of Billy Dee Williams, Kelly Marie Tran, Anthony Daniels, Weird Al, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Dee Bradley Baker, among many others.
