One of our favorite days of the week here is NEW COMIC BOOK DAY! And while there is a wide range of books available today, we’re specifically excited for this week’s Star Wars comics! Whether you’re looking for something brand new this week or for something new to read on Marvel Unlimited, we have you covered.

New Star Wars Comics: Bounty Hunters #26 and Han Solo & Chewbacca #5

First up is Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #26 as it brings the end of the raid on the Vermillion. T’onga must face Crimson Dawn on her own to save the girl she seeks. Meanwhile, one of her crew may not survive Vukorah’s deadly revenge. And Dengar may finally be getting exactly what he deserves.

Starwars.com preview shows T’onga’s assault on The Vermillion, making her way through the Crimson Dawn to reach Cadeliah.

We also see Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca #5 hit shelves this week! With the Millennium Falcon gone and Han & Chewie in a tough spot, optimism is hard to come by. Greedo is back and not very happy. We’ll also see the return of Marshal Buck Vancto and Khel Tanna—who will get their hands on Han first?

In starwars.com’s preview, we see some trouble for Han and Chewbacca. Before Han can work out a plan, blaster fire saves their butts. Though it earns Han a couple of well-deserved punches, the duo are making a deal with their saviors to help find the Falcon and… Han’s dad?!?

New on Marvel Unlimited: Halcyon Legacy #3, Obi-Wan #1, and Star Wars #23

A big day for Star Wars comics fans that subscribe to Marvel Unlimited—three titles arrive on the service today! In Star Wars: Halcyon Legacy #3, on the Halcyon, Anakin and Padme are disguised, pursuing a senator who is thought to have separatist links. But their cover operation puts Asajj Ventress on their path! And fifty years later, the crew of the spacecraft risks making a dangerous solar storm escape!

Star Wars: Halcyon Legacy #3 is written by Ethan Sacks and illustrated by Will Sliney, with cover art by E.M. Gist.

Meanwhile, the debut issue of Star Wars: Obi-Wan is now available to read on Marvel Unlimited. One of the most renowned Jedi masters’ final fate is drawing near quickly! Obi-Wan Kenobi takes some time during his final days in the isolated deserts of Tatooine to think back on and document significant events from a heroic life well spent. Obi-Wan recalls his early years as a young Jedi Initiate, his struggles as a Padawan, the rigors of becoming a Jedi Knight and the Clone Wars, as well as some of the first difficulties he encountered as a real Master of the Force while writing in old leather-bound notebooks from his hermit’s hut.

In this first issue, Obi-Wan reflects on a crucial Youngling adventure he just barely avoided while on Coruscant when he was just eight years old. His adventure as a Jedi is just getting started!

Star Wars: Obi-Wan #1 is written by Christopher Cantwell and illustrated by Ario Anindito, with cover art by Phil Noto.

Finally, in Star Wars #23 the Tarkin’s Will’s crew, led by Commander Ellian Zahra, employ harsh methods against the Rebel Alliance Fleet’s final remaining divisions, and the future of the fleet is in jeopardy. This battle is personal for Zahra, and she won’t be satisfied with her vengeance until every individual killed on the Death Star has been righted.

Star Wars #23 is written by Charles Soule and illustrated by Ramon Rosanas, with cover art by Carlo Pagulayan.

Andor won’t be the only Disney+ series to skip The Volume — and that’s OK. dark. Next
