An exclusive preview of Star Wars: Darth Vader issue 26 has been released on starwars.com and it highlights how the Dark Lord has changed from a younger Anakin. From the prequels and The Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalker’s story has constantly evolved to highlight how he went from a young boy to a powerful Sith. Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+ even puts a singular moment on who was responsible for this ultimate change to the Dark Side.

“You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker. I did,” says Darth to Obi-Wan. This moment pinpoints who is to cause for this shift, but does it mean everything has changed. A singular line from Attack of the Clones has generated a lot of memes over the years, including a response from Hayden Christensen earlier this year, laughing about how much interest it’s gained over the years. The latest issue of Darth Vader puts this line to the test and we find out if Vader is completely different in every way from Anakin who once confessed, “I don’t like sand.”

Does Darth Vader issue 26 let a sandstorm get in the Dark Lord’s way?

The previous issue of Darth Vader showcased Vader’s attempt to prevent the Crimson Dawn from rescuing Governor Tauntaza. Darth Vader issue 26 gives fans a look at how far the Sith Lord will go to capture his prey. Yes, that even means he must navigate to a “fortress concealed by an artificial sandstorm.”

The preview flashes back and forth from young Ani to Padawan to Darth. The sequences help fans to realize one thing is for certain; he may not like sand, but it’s never stopped him from doing what he sets out to do. Perhaps the latest comic book will tell us for certain if he has any feelings about the coarse particles, but one thing is for sure, Vader does not let a pesky sandstorm deter him from achieving his goal.
