Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II Limited Run Games pre-orders are open

Star Wars gamers of the mid-2000s generally have a lot of feelings about the Knights of the Old Republic sequel. Though the game has become notorious for its rushed, unfinished ending, it remains a beloved and nostalgic memory in many hearts. Knights of the Old Republic II, despite its flaws, will always be an important part of fandom — which is why Limited Run Games has chosen the title for its next exclusive physical release.
Limited Run games specializes in re-releasing physical copies of older games that might be harder to find. Star Wars games are a lot different now than they used to be — great in their own ways, but often missing elements that made the games of fans’ pasts so special.
There are several options you can choose from when ordering your copy.
- Standard Edition (Switch) – $39.99
- Premium Edition (Switch and PC) – $89.99
- Master Edition (Switch and PC) – $174.99
You have the option to buy just the physical game for the Switch. But if you want a little something extra, the Premium Editions come with a Certificate of Authenticity, concept art, a poster, and more. For a steeper price, the Master Editions will get you everything that comes with Premium plus items such as a strategy guide (don’t you wish you had that in 2004?), a pazaak deck, and more.
From now until 11:59 p.m. ET on October 2, 2022, fans can order either a Nintendo Switch or PC physical copy of the game to play on their home consoles. Recently, the game was re-released on Nintendo Switch digitally, but those hungry for a physical copy — if you don’t still have yours, or it no longer runs on your updated tech — your time has finally come to own and play it again just the way you used to.
