This Instagram Asajj Ventress cosplay looks like the real thing

When it comes to Asajj Ventress cosplay, there are many different looks to choose from — even ones that never appeared on-screen.

In the case of one stunning Instagram photo featuring a model channeling her entire inner Ventress, it wasn’t a scene from a Clone Wars episode but rather a collectible item that was used to craft the shot’s main subject.

The costuming in the above Instagram photo, according to the caption, is based on a recent statue of the character released by Sideshow Collectables. In the statue and photo, Ventress is holding two red-bladed lightsabers and wearing a red hooded cloak that makes her appearance even more fierce and intimidating.

As part of the photographer’s portfolio, Ventress is portrayed n a style she would probably model closely in live-action if she were ever to appear in another series or a movie.

I know what you’re thinking — “But Ventress is dead! Dark Disciple killed her!” Are we forgetting that Ventress was a member of the Nightsisters, notorious for not dying even when they should have died the first time they suffered fatal wounds? It wouldn’t be difficult to bring her back using the element of magic. It could still happen.
