Disney’s D23 Expo was off to a hot start as Kathleen Kennedy took to the stage with Lucasfilms up first for the explosive panel.

The cast for the upcoming series Andor  took the stage to discuss the series. With this came an exciting new trailer debuting for fans. The trailer stars off with the Star Wars theme playing slowly on piano as each key player is showcased. We see Andor, Mon Mothma, and Saw Gerrera before seeing shots of Tie Fighters majestically taking to the skies.

The Andor trailer gives us a lot of beautiful imagery as the show was shot largely on location. We see Tie Fighters flying over lakes and mountains and a shot of the imperial senate. Perhaps the most haunting line of the entire trailer comes as Luthen Rael is narrating and says to Cassian “It don’t matter what you tell me or you tell yourself. You’ll ultimately die fighting these bastards.”

Knowing what we know is to come for our hero that is quite the line. Further into the trailer we are treated to seeing phase two Clone Troopers with their familiar helmets and armor. The rest of the trailer shows us quick cuts of the characters and action sequences which are sure to be a visual treat to fans.  Diego Luna promises fans at the expo that the show will feel like a 12 episode movie.

Andor  is set to release September 21st on Disney+ with three episodes premiering on day one. The cast features Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, Stephen Skarsgard as as Luthen Rael, and Adrian Arjuna as Bix Caleen. The cast also announced that season two will be beginning production soon and will take us up to the point where we pick up with Rogue One.
