LGBTQ Star Wars podcasts by and for queer fans
In celebration of Pride History Month, we at Dork Side of the Force wanted to take the time and honor LGBTQIA+ people in the community who lend their voices and stories to the Star Wars fandom. Below is a list of podcasts, YouTubers, and Twitch streamers who have one or most hosts who are part of the queer community.
July is Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall Riots of 1969 which is considered to be the major turning point in the fight for queer rights. On the other hand, October is Pride History Month. It is centered around National Coming Out Day on October 11 with a focus on celebrating the history and achievements of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The two months differ as, according to MassLive, July is to celebrate the visibility of LGBTQIA+ people. October is to reflect on the journey, celebrate historical figures, and honor their legacy.
These podcasts and channels are made for everyone, but queer Star Wars fans can find a unique, supportive community listening in on Star Wars-themed conversations, games, and so much more.
