Pretty soon a real working lightsaber could be yours if one Boston-based company has its way.

To be honest, we have all dreamed of the day when lightsabers could be a thing of reality as we wield whatever makes pretend objects in the air. Well, if one company has any say this dream could become a reality for Star Wars fans everywhere!

The company DynamicSabers has begun to bring dreams to life with sabers that have plenty of realistic offerings. ” In the beginning, lightsaber collecting was more novelty than mainstream.” Says William, DynamicSabers founder, and president. He goes on to say “However, now it is an affordable hobby available to everyone.” Sure, there are plenty of companies out there offering “realistic” lightsabers such as SaberForge and Disney themselves.

but, what DynamicSabers is doing is creating something a little more unique and special for their clients. They have some sabers starting at $90 with realistic features and sound effects. If you want something more real and have expensive tastes, they offer higher-end designs. They have lightsabers inspired by the heroes and villains from the franchise as well as custom designs. The high-end designs have a feature called “neopixel” which is an illumination from the blade itself rather than the usual hilt. They use 50-watt LED strips within the blade to create this magic.  The idea is to create something more immersive for the consumer and allow them to be one with the force.

The company says that they take great pride in their work and they offer a variety of lightsabers. Sure, perhaps we still may be a lightyear or two away from actually holding a lightsaber. However, what DynamicSaber is offering to fans is one step closer. They are always looking to add more realism and offer more designs for their fans and collectors alike.
