Will Diego Luna play Cassian Andor in the future?

Luna will reprise his role as Cassian Andor in Andor season 2, which is scheduled to start filming in November.

Luna has addressed if he will play the role again in a different project. Appearing in Entertainment Weekly’s podcast, Dagobah Dispatch, Luna was asked if he could play Andor in another Star Wars prequel project. He responded by saying that someone else would have to do it, as he isn’t getting any younger.

When pressed, he said “For me, this is it. It’s a beautiful journey now that I have 24 episodes, 24 shorter films, to tell the story of where Cassian comes from and how he got to be the man we met in Rogue One.”

There is little chance Luna will return to play Cassian in a project set after Rogue One. Cassian dies at the end of the film, meaning there is very little likelihood that Andor will show up again, unless he’s resurrected.
