WARNING: The following contains SPOILERS for Andor Season 1, Episode 8.

Cassian Andor’s six-year prison sentence begins. Arriving on a new planet, he and his fellow prisoners instantly realize there is no hope of escape … if you want to live, that is.

Here’s where Cassian meets his new “teammates,” part of a factory labor group led by Snoke — I mean, a guy who sounds a lot like him for some reason, no relation probably. Because of the heist, the Empire is even harsher than it was before. Cassian starts to realize there are — gasp — consequences for his actions.

Luthen and Saw Gerrera meet and blame each other for the heist — again, they’re technically on the same side, but have very different ideas about the best way to rebel against the Empire, if there even is one. Saw’s extreme methods aren’t great, but honestly, Luthen isn’t doing much better.

ISB officer Dedra Meero is as desperate to find Cassian as anyone, but doesn’t seem impressed with Syril’s equally desperate attempts to punish Cassian for his crimes. She doesn’t want his help. Maybe she doesn’t need it.

Back on Ferrix, Bix is concerned about a sick and struggling Maarva, and attempts to contact Luthen in her own attempts to locate Cassian. But Dedra is watching all communications going in and out of the planet, and it doesn’t take long for her to show up. It’s her job to wrangle any hints of rebellion against the Empire now. Oops.

Bix ix captured, which is bad since she knows Luthen’s face and could identify him under pressure (read: torture). Syril knows Luthen’s voice. The man is probably in big trouble now.

In order to protect Luthen, Vel and Cinta also wait on Ferrix to eliminate Cassian. But no one in town knows where he is. So Vel leaves, and Cinta waits.

We know, though. We know.
