Every week, each new episode of Andor further proves this Star Wars series is the first of its kind, in a good way: A show that leans more heavily into its sci-fi roots than it does fantasy, with small bits of political thrill and dystopia mixed in.

While Cassian is trapped in a brutal Imperial prison (it technically wasn’t his fault, but he is also technically paying for his previous crimes in a way), Mon Mothma is desperately trying to hold what exists of the rebellion together before Luthen can tear is apart. Also, the Imperial Security Bureau is still hunting for Cassian — but so is Bix, because she’s worried about Maarva’s quest to be part of the rebel cause when she can barely stand.

This week’s episode of Andor will conclude the third three-episode arc in the season’s 12-episode run, which means we only have one more story arc to go before Season 1 wraps. Will the Empire figure out it already has its prey in custody? Maybe. Maybe not.

At this point, Cassian is the only one who actually knows where Cassian really is. But as we learned in Rogue One, no matter how many aliases you may adopt when hiding from your enemies, eventually, your past can and will catch up to you. And the consequences will be paid for in due time.
