Diego Luna nominated for a Golden Globe for Andor perfiormance

The wins keep coming for the cast and crew of the latest Star Wars show from Disney+ as Diego Luna has been nominated for a Golden Globe! Luna was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Drama! If you have seen Andor this should come as no surprise as Luna delivers a riveting performance as Cassian Andor.
The list of nominations were released Monday morning and if you will remember the 2022 Globes was cancelled by NBC after a series if scandals. The show will premier on NBC again this coming year however, with it airing on Tuesday, January 10th on both NBC and their streaming service Peacock. The other list of nominees Diego Luna will be going up against is a star studded cast. Jeff Bridges, (“The Old Man”) Kevin Costner, (‘Yellowstone”) Bob Odenkirk, (Better Call Saul”) and Adam Scott (“Severance”) have all also been nominated in this same category.
If you’ll remember Disney has also aired the first two episodes of the series on their other networks such as Hulu and TNT which has never been done before. Andor brought Diego Luna back to the role of Cassian Andor and showcases a different perspective of the expansive galaxy. The series is centered around Cassian’s journey towards becoming the rebellion hero we saw in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Season one took place over the first year of his journey and we got to see the foundations for the rebellion being built. Season two promises even more thrilling adventure as it will expand over years 2-5 leading us into the events of Rogue One.
Andor was also recently nominated for a Critics Choice Award for Best Drama Series and Luna was nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his role on the show. Andor is streaming on Disney+ now!
