It’s a good thing the first episode of The Bad Batch Season 2 didn’t premiere on its own, or we’d have had to wait an entire week to recover from the first episode’s epic cliffhanger!

Season 2 of the hit animated Star Wars series kicked off with a bang, sending the reluctant Clone Force 99 to Count Dooku’s former home world to steal some of his stolen riches before the Empire could get its hands on the entire fortune.

But it’s Star Wars, after all, and it didn’t take long for things to go very wrong for the team. The first episode ended with the Batch separated into two groups, and things aren’t looking good for either party as they now have to prioritize escaping from the Empire’s watch over getting away with even a small part of Dooku’s former wealth.

If the first episode of the second season of The Bad Batch is any indication, there’s a lot of action, adventure, growth, and sacrifice coming in the weeks that lay ahead. The clones (Omega included) are still on the path to figuring out who they are and what their purpose in the galaxy is now that the war is over. Crosshair’s fate is still up in the air, and we haven’t even seen him yet.
