WARNING: The following contains SPOILERS for The Bad Batch Season 2, Episode 5: “Entombed.”

Clone Force 99 is between missions, which means Omega and Wrecker are free to roam the local junkyard for potential treasures. Returning with their findings, mysterious archeologist (and storyteller) Phee isn’t too impressed. That is, until she uncovers an artifact that could lead to something huge.

The compass Omega found has planet coordinates on it, and Phee convinces the Batch to tag along. Once they arrive on the uncharted world, they quickly realize the compass is leading them to — and inside — an ancient tomb. The tomb is filled with traps. And puzzles. And a vicious creature that wants to kill them.

Everything is fine. Really.

After being separated and navigating many deadly traps, the group reaches the treasure Phee promised they would find — something called the Heart of the Mountain. As soon as Phee grabs the treasure, however, the tomb … comes alive.

No, I mean it actually comes alive and starts firing an energy blast out of its … face? Listen, this is Star Wars, where things don’t have to make sense yet they can still be very cool at the same time. They figure out that if they don’t put the heart back where they found it, the tomb is going to destroy their ship and they’ll be trapped here forever.

So that’s what they do. The tomb and the heart are no more (and neither is Phee’s droid, RIP). But everyone has emerged from the ordeal unharmed.

The group boards the ship and leaves the planet behind, the Heart of the Mountain gone and its threat (presumably) gone with it. The team may not have proof of what they found, but at least they’ll all have a great story to tell later.

New episodes of The Bad Batch drop Wednesdays exclusively on Disney+.
