WARNING: The following contains SPOILERS for The Bad Batch Season 2, Episode 2: “Ruins of War.”

Last episode ended on a cliffhanger as Omega, Tech, and Echo’s makeshift escape pod plummeted toward the ground at full speed. We’re picking up right where we left off — and things are, as you might imagine, not great!

They land fine, but Tech is injured in the process and won’t have an easy time fighting or running if necessary. Meanwhile, Hunter and Wrecker are hiding from the Empire — but Captain Wilco isn’t going to stop until he’s found and captured them. Stormtroopers are everywhere. Perfect.

As soon as Tech, Echo, and Omega emerge from the container mostly unharmed, a man named Romar approaches them and allows them to take shelter in his home.

But Omega is determined to finish the mission, and she sneaks off to find what remains of Dooku’s war chest alone. Once Tech and Echo realize she’s gone, they rush after her — after an enlightening conversation with Romar about Separatist life before the Clone Wars.

When Echo reaches Omega in the abandoned shipping container, she refuses to listen when he tells her their safety is more important than the treasure. She confesses she heard the Dad Batch talking about how they’re constantly on the run from the Empire because of Omega, and she doesn’t want to let the possible fortune go.

But he convinces her to let the treasure go, and the Bad Batch manages to escape uncaptured.

Someone’s not happy about the incident still though, and that’s Vice Admiral Rampart. When Captain Wilco includes the news that Clone Force 99 is still alive in his report, Rampart tells him to leave it out. The clone refuses … and that’s the end of him.

Clones are disposable, after all …
