You’ll have to endure Andor season 2 without Alex Ferns
By Meg Dowell
If you loved Sergeant Linus Mosk in Andor Season 1, you’ll have to go back and re-watch his scenes on your own time.
Actor Alex Ferns confirmed on Twitter that he wouldn’t be returning to the series. The era of Linus Mosk has come to an end as quickly as it began.
“Alas you’ve seen the end of Mosk,” he wrote. “I had a blast playing him and I’m glad you and others enjoyed him too.”
Mosk played a relatively small role in the show, but he quickly became a fan favorite. Some even hoped he would return in future episodes, this time on the side of the Rebel Alliance. But the character seems to have served his purpose, and Ferns will move on from the Star Wars universe … for now.
Though we won’t have Mosk to look forward to in 2024, Andor Season 2 is bound to be packed with even more action, adventure, and tragedy than Season 1. We’re supposedly going to see Cassian and K-2SO meet for the first time, more of Mon Mothma’s descent into rebellious desparation, and the lead-up to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Don’t worry! The Andor series may not be returning this year, but there’s plenty to look forward to when it comes to Star Wars TV in 2023. Season 2 of The Bad Batch is underway, with Season 3 of The Mandalorian set to debut in just over a month. Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew, Visions Volume 2, and The Acolyte are also all expected to drop on Disney+ before the year is over.
We’ll never run out of new Star Wars to watch. What a time to be alive.
All episodes of Andor Season 1 are available to stream exclusively on Disney+.
