Empire Magazine sat down with the team behind The Mandalorian Season 3 for a series of exclusive interviews. The series is returning soon, and lead actor Pedro Pascal had plenty to tell Empire about why this season is going to be great.  Pascal told Empire what Season 3 has to offer. “What I love most about Season 3 is how much the world opens up in terms of Mandalore and Mandalorians”. Explaining himself further, Pascal described exactly what fans can expect from the world of Mandalore, saying “That means so many different facets of culture, politics, and rules and discoveries. Delicious doors are flying wide open.”

Pedro wasn’t alone in praising the magnificence of Season 3 because actress Katee Sackhoff (Bo Katan Kryze) also explained her excitement when she went through the scripts for the show. “[I was] texting Jon and Dave, ‘Are you serious?’ This is an epic season – it’s so big and so bold and so different.” Big, bold and delicious, Season 3 already sounds like the best season of the show and perhaps the best season of a live action Star Wars series so far.

Keep in mind, that the  last live action series to air is Andor. Andor is a tough act to follow, but the promise of politics, culture and world building that Season 3 holds is enough to make this one of the most highly anticipated shows on television and all of Star Wars. The stage is set for a change of gears for the series by exploring aspects such as politics and culture which remained previously unexplored.

At the heart of it all will be the bond of the reunited father and son pair of Din Djarin and his son, Grogu. Bo Katan and Din may possibly duel it out over the Darksaber while their ravaged home planet and its future remains uncertain. Can Mandalorians finally come together for the sake of their home world, or will they continue fighting over petty differences?

Season 3 of The Mandalorian will begin on March 1st on Disney+.
