The Bad Batch season 2, episode 9 live stream: Watch online

After last week’s two-part midseason finale, Season 2 of The Bad Batch continues its quest to make viewers think deeper about the post-Order 66 galaxy …. while also sprinkling in some good old-fashioned fun along the way.

In this week’s episode, Clone Force 99 are about to embark on another mission for Cid. But landing on a strange and dangerous planet means they might lose more than they’re prepared to part with.

At the end of last week’s episode, loss became central to the show’s thematic thread when Echo announced he was leaving with Rex instead of staying with the group. Omega took the announcement harder than the boys, and even though Echo will be able to do more good for the galaxy on his own separate path, it’s not going to be easy or even possible to fill the gap he’ll leave behind.

It’s likely that the majority of this episode will deal with the emotional after-effects of Echo’s departure from the group, especially for Omega. The other members of the Batch remember a time when Echo wasn’t part of their squad yet — but Omega doesn’t.

It’s going to be an emotional roller coaster, but hopefully our characters come through having grown a little closer by the end of this week’s episode.
