10. Callista Ming/Masana

Before Luke Skywalker ended up with Mara Jade in the Expanded Universe, there was Callista Ming. Like Jagged Fel, Callista can be found in The New Jedi Order and Fate of the Jedi series, though she also makes an appearance in The Clone Wars: No Prisoners novel and Order 66: A Republic Commando Novel, like Arla Fett.

At one point, Callista Masana shed her physical form and her consciousness was embedded in a ship’s computer, which Luke Skywalker eventually fell in love with. Yes, you read that correctly, Luke fell in love with a ghost in a starship. Later on, Callista took over the body of the Jedi Cray Mingla — which is how she came to be known as Callista Ming — but this caused her to lose touch with the Force which hurt her relationship with Luke.

Callista’s story is rather convoluted because in her first life as Callista Masana she was an ally of Rex and Ahsoka during the Clone Wars, but as Callista Ming, she was an ally of Luke Skywalkers.

Now, if you ever see someone on Star Wars Twitter referencing the time that Luke Skywalker was in love with a starship, you will know that they are talking about Callista Ming.
