14. Queen Jamillia

Following Padmé’s two terms as Queen of Naboo, Queen Jamillia ran against Réillata for the honor of becoming the Queen. While Jamillia did not win that election, she did eventually become the Queen of Naboo.

After the assassination attempt in Courscant, Padme retreated to her homeworld of Naboo, where she was met by Queen Jamillia to discuss the possibility of a full-scale conflict between the Separatists and the Republic. Jamilla served as Queen for four years, before being succeeded by Queen Neeyutnee. Jamillia, played by Ayesha Dharker, only makes a brief appearance in Attack of the Clones, but fans of Naboo’s monarchy were instantly drawn to her. Very little is known about her beyond her passion for democracy and her desire to ensure Padmé’s safety while she was hiding on Naboo.

Queen Jamillia has yet to play a major part in any additional book series or comic books, though she is briefly mentioned in Queen’s Shadow. Most of the Star Wars fandom’s interest in Jamillia lies with the headcanons that fans have made about her time as Queen. It has always been intriguing that Naboo would entrust the leadership of their country to young girls, the youngest of which was twelve-year-old Queen Apailana who was on the throne at the time of Padmé’s death.
