This article has major spoilers for the season two finale of The Bad Batch.

The second season of The Bad Batch has come to a close, and the finale “The Summit” and “Plan 99” was full of twists and turns, heart-wrenching moments, and a shocking reveal. It’s left us with some lingering questions as we wait for season three.

Is Tech really dead?

Tech sacrificing himself was a massive shock in “The Summit.” All season, the creators have built up his character by confirming historic representation as well as giving him a love interest in Phee. Tech’s demise is a massive moment for the show. Though, it does beg the question if he’s really dead. The only person to confirm this was Doctor Hemlock, a villain. He could be lying and took Tech to Mount Tantiss for Omega to find. This is also Star Wars where during the end of season one, Hunter fell down an entire mountain and didn’t get a scratch. Also, Darth Maul was cut in half and came back again. Crazier things have happened. Until season three, we’ll just have to wait and see if Tech is actually dead.

Will Cid have a change of heart?

The writing has been on the wall for some time that Cid was going to turn on the Batch. Since the episode “Faster,” it’s a storyline the creators built. Still, Cid didn’t seem too sure of herself during “Plan 99.” She offers a drink to Wrecker, mourns Tech’s demise, and meekly accepts her money from Hemlock. She has also always had a soft spot for Omega since season one. Perhaps Cid will eventually regret her betrayal and help with Omega’s rescue. The Batch still has some I.O.U.s from other characters like Roland Durand. Surely, Phee would join a mission too. Cid could find some redemption by pulling together a team of scum and villainy to help out.

What will Crosshair do?

Since “The Outpost,” Crosshair leaped fully into his atonement arc. He sacrificed a chance at his own freedom to send a warning to the Batch. Now that Omega is at Mount Tantiss, it’s only a matter of time before the two reunite. I can assume that Crosshair will continue his path of redemption by saving Omega. Though the two had few scenes in season one, they were some of the most impactful and poignant scenes in Crosshair’s story. He’s all in trying to help his clone family, and that includes Omega.

What’s going on with Emerie Karr?

The reveal of Emerie Karr was also a clone was definitely a shocking moment in the final seconds of the season. This point alone raises many questions on its own. Was Emerie made by the Kaminoans or by Doctor Hemlock? Does Nala Se know about her? Where has she been all this time?

Emerie being a clone is a fascinating angle, especially after Crosshair spared her life in “Tipping Point.” That action could set her up as a possible ally. Perhaps once she gets to know Omega and sees the loyalty that the clones have with each other, Emerie might have a change of heart.

Will Mount Tantiss be discovered?

How is the Batch going to save Omega without revealing Mount Tantiss to the rest of the galaxy? In Legends, Mount Tantiss was one of Palpatine’s most important facilities when it came to cloning. If The Bad Batch and The Mandalorian are building towards explaining the “Somehow Palptatine’s returned” line from The Rise of Skywalker, then it is vital to the bigger story for Tantiss to remain a secret. That said, the Empire did destroy Kamino to cover their tracks. If they evacuate the information ahead of time, I bet Palpatine would destroy Tantiss too if it came to that.

The Bad Batch will have a panel at Star Wars Celebration London on April 10th. We could get a few answers along with a sneak peek of what season three will bring. Until then, we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
