John Boyega is excited to ‘just be a fan again’ post-Star Wars
John Boyega is one of the most loved and recognized actors within the Star Wars franchise because of the a prominent role that he played play as Finn (FN2187).
Ever since he was a little kid, being born in the 90’s, he always thought pretty highly of Star Wars and loved all of the space themes, “glow sticks that can slash your wrist off”, and watching the jet troopers fly around. It’s no secret that even before he was a Star Wars actor, he was in love. In a recent interview, Boyega expressed how much easier it was to be a fan and how although it’s sad that his role as Finn is over (for now, at least), it’ll be much more fun to be a kid again.

Boyega’s Star Wars love and obsession first started when he was just a little boy. The first piece of Star Wars memorabilia that he owned was a Darth Maul action figure, and what a figure to have! When he was younger, he was like a lot of people, including myself, in thinking that some of the older movie’s graphics just don’t cut it; however, he stated that he has since grown up in a way and has grown to love all of the corny 1970’s stuff that comes along with such the beloved franchise.
Ever since he can remember he’s loved it. However, it does feel that it’s easier to be a fan than to be an actor in the movie series/trilogy. He stated how much more fun it is to go back and watch certain things now and play all of the games where he ends up seeing himself actually in them!
Besides watching all of the stuff that he’s been in, he also is super obsessed with legit any and all of the shows streaming over on Disney+, but I wonder which one’s his all-time favorite?
Overall, we’re just super proud of John Boyega and all that he’s accomplished both inside and outside of the Star Wars franchise as a whole! Keep it up, Bud!
