“Channel your inner Jedi with the new X-wing Starfighter from the classic Star  Wars  film trilogy. A fan favorite, this newest Ultimate Collectors Series version of the T-65 has updated wing and engine design along with a new cockpit interior. Place the R2-D2 droid figure in the socket behind the cockpit and blast off to fight for the Rebel Alliance. “ Lego stated in the announcement.

The set will release May 4th and will cost less than most UCS Lego sets at $239.99. The X-wing itself stands at over 21 inches tall and comes with a special nameplate that shows technical data for the starfighter. The dial on top will allow you to adjust the X-wing from flight mode to attack mode much like previous models of the X-wing. Luke’s minifigure also will come with his lightsaber.

Fans remember that another UCS X-wing released in 2013 with 1500 pieces as the UCS series has been running for 23 years. There have been other sets such as an At-At, Tie Interceptor, Lukes landspeeder, and more. If you’re part of Lego’s VIP program you have a chance to grab the set early on May 1st as well. There have been other sets rumored such as an Ashoka set, a Republic Gunship, and the famous Star Wars Rebels ship Ghost however, nothing has been officially announced yet.
