It’s been four years since we’ve had a Star Wars film hit the big screen with the last one being Rise of Skywalker however, that is about to change. Celebration has officially begun and Lucasfilms weren’t shy about making sure we knew it. We have not one, not two, but three new films in development!

The first film will be helmed by the man himself Dave Filoni. He’s been the mastermind behind our favorite show moments and will be bringing his Mandoverse to a head with his film. It’s felt as though everything happening with The Mandalorian is building to something bigger over the last season and that’s been confirmed. In their panel today it was announced that the events will climax in a film. It’s unclear if that means the show will end after the film or not but, I would certainly think not.

The next film announced is being brought to life by James Mangold. He will be directing a film that will be centered around the first Jedi. This film is said to be a biblical epic which will be called Dawn of the Jedi. A story about the very first Jedi? You know we’re there opening night.

Last but certainly not least Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will be leading a film set 15 years after The Rise of Skywalker. The film will be focused on rebuilding the new Jedi order and will feature the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey! Rey will be rebuilding the Jedi order and that alone is enough to have us there opening night. There has been no word on who else will be returning but, the announcements are sure to not be done yet.

There is no doubt more exciting news to come out of celebration and if this start is anything to off of us fans are in for a treat. Tell us, which announcement are you most excited about?
