The Mandalorian Season 3 began streaming on March 1st after a wait of over two years. Now, there are just two chapters remaining in Season 3. It’s been an up and down season in many ways, with some questionable choices and a few episodes that didn’t go over too well with the entire Mando fanbase.

Chapter 23 will drop on April 12th, and the final episode of Season 3, Chapter 24 arrives on April 19th. The season pretty much flew by but the previous seasons of the show saved their best moments for last and this could mean that fans haven’t seen anything yet. The best is probably yet to come.

For now, the Darksaber belongs to Bo Katan, all but officially making her the Mand’alor, ruler of the Mandalorian people. On top of that she also carries the responsibility of bringing all the clans who have gone into exile together, so everyone can take back Mandalore. As for Din Djarin, he doesn’t have much to do at the moment, except follow Bo Katan, however, that could change.

After this weekend’s confirmation at Star Wars Celebration 2023 that Grand Admiral Thrawn will be in the Ahsoka series, played by Lars Mikkelsen, it’s possible that the final two chapters of The Mandalorian Season 3 will connect to the Ahsoka series in some manner, since that arrives in just 4 months. This probably means an Imperial presence is almost guaranteed in the Mando finale. Will we finally find out who sent TIE-Interceptors to destroy Bo Katan’s castle on Kalevala earlier in the season.

Moff Gideon is bound to make a return as that has been teased by Giancarlo Esposito himself a number of times. Besides, the Moff never made it to trial and will definitely be coming back for Grogu whom he’s been after since the beginning of the series. There’s no way he would give up on the little one, whom he held captive in the Season 2 finale until being rescued by Din Djarin.

There’s also a Mythosaur that might rise at some point, literally, and demand to be tamed by one or all of the Mandalorians. That’s a moment the show has seemingly foreshadowed from the start when Kuill told Din that his “ancestors rode the great Mythosaur”. If that thing was really real and Bo Katan didn’t imagine it, it would be a real bummer if the season ends without a glimpse of it.

There are lots of pieces in place for a grand finale, so don’t expect an unexpected twist in one or both of the final episodes

The Mandalorian Chapter 23 begins streaming this Wednesday on Disney+.
