Season 3 of The Mandalorian has just wrapped up and has left us with an exciting glimpse into the future. In the season finale we saw Mandalore returned to its rightful owner of the Mandalorians, the Dark Saber destroyed, and Grogu has begun his official journey as an apprentice of Din. With the Darksaber gone this marked the end of the debate of they who hold the saber rule mandalore. It is believed that Bo Katan is the rightful ruler of Mandalore but, what if we are setting Grogu up to lead the Mandalorian people in the future?

Earlier in the season Bo saw the fabled Mythosaur which, is meant to mark the dawn of a new era in Mandalore. Of course we thought this was meant to mean Bo is there to lead the people back and the way we left off it certainly seems so. However, what if this isn’t the case? Grogu could very well be set up to be the chosen one that will unite Mandalore and return the planet to glory. The way Grogu has saved the Mandalorians time again and showed his loyalty gives a foundation of trust. As we know trust is very important to the Mandalorian people.

In the finale we also saw the Mythosaur in the waters open its eyes as the people returned and reignited the forge. Grogu may have joined Din on his journeys but, he hasn’t abandoned his knowledge of the force. Grogus particular ability is having a bond with animals as seen with the Rancor. He is going through trials which see him embrace both Jedi and Mandalorian ideologies. Tie that in with the Darksaber being destroyed and this may be setting Grogu up as the next one to forge a similar saber.

In Star Wars  prophecies and religious symmetry play an important role. Grogu may be about to embark on trials and a journey which could lead him to uniting the people of Mandalore under one banner after centuries of civil war.
