Many people might not know this, but the beloved Bill Hader is actually involved in “voicing” (if you will) a really famous Star Wars character. He is labeled as the Vocal Consultant for America’s favorite droid, BB-8.

BB-8 is a fan-favorite Star Wars character to just about anybody, so you might think that if you run into Bill Hader anytime soon, you can have him sign your newest BB-8 figurine…WRONG.

Bill Hader explains why he now refuses to sign anything related to Star Wars when he used to absolutely love doing it!

Here’s how one bad fan experience ruined signing Star Wars merchandise for Bill Hader…forever!

Ever done something all your life and then all of a sudden one day something or someone just totally and completely ruins it for you? Yeah, that’s exactly what happened to Bill Hader whenever it came to signing any sort of Star Wars merchandise.

It all started one super late evening when Hader was leaving the Inside Out premiere and heading on over to an After Party. Some guy had his kid come up to him to sign one of his BB-8 figurines; however, here’s where things took a turn for the worst (according to Hader himself).

Basically, the kid’s father said to his kid, to which Bill Hader heard the following disturbing quote, “Go over there so he’ll sign it so I can sell it online”. So basically, the son nor the father cared all that much to really have him sign their memorabilia as a fan, they just wanted to profit just a bit off of it.

Since then, Hader expressed how autograph people just absolutely hate him because he clearly refuses to sign legit anything after that one father-son duo fan group ruined it for him. He said how “f****d up” that it was to him and now calls himself a ‘blanket’ that refuses to sign anything.

Hopefully, in the future, Bill Hader/BB-8 fans can get their super cool stuff signed by him!
