Star Wars actor and Disney Legend Ming-Na Wen will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame later this month.

Variety announced the honor yesterday, and the actor was quick to reply with her usual excitement and gratitude. As always, she’s just happy to be here doing what she loves.

“Still in disbelief,” she wrote on Twitter. “Thrilled to end #AAPIHeritageMonth [with] this utmost honor.”

Ming-Na Wen is a longtime Star Wars fan whose dreams came true when she secured the role of bounty hunter Fennec Shand — first in The Mandalorian, then reprising the same role in The Bad Batch and The Book of Boba Fett.

Having led starring roles in multiple Disney-owned franchises — voicing Mulan and portraying Agent Melina May in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to name a few — Wen earned the official title of Disney Legend. These notable individuals are awarded for “having made a significant impact on the Disney legacy.”

While it’s unclear at this time whether or not Ming-Na Wen will return to Star Wars, what is clear is that her career and impact on Hollywood as a whole will only continue to soar.

The ceremony will take place next Tuesday, May 30.

Ming-Na Wen is not the first Star Wars legend to receive a Walk of Fame star this month. The late Carrie Fisher — who portrayed Princess Leia in the franchise’s original trilogy of films — was honored with her own on May 4, 2023. Her daughter Billie Lourd unveiled the Star on her mother’s behalf.

Nor are these two the only Star Wars actors to receive Stars. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and a handful of other Star Wars legends have also previously received stars. And they likely won’t be the last.
