Among all the hype for Disney+ content rolling out this year, the eight-episode miniseries Skeleton Crew adds another story to the pre-established “Mandoverse” in the Star Wars timeline.

Stars Jude Law and Kerry Condon are joined by Ravi Cabot-Conyers, a young child actor. Cabot-Conyers is now 12 and has been in a handful of projects before working on Skeleton Crew, Including the mockumentary BlackAF and the Disney animation sensation Encanto.

It’s now been revealed that Cabot-Conyers is furthering his already-impressive resume as he joins the cast of upcoming drama film Beneath the Grass.

Jeff Kober and Rachel Ticotin are joined by Cabot-Conyers in this drama where the child actor takes on the role of a young boy who potentially jeopardizes his mother’s unlawful stream of income involving marijuana. The film is set to take place in the year 2008.

According to Variety, the production has done its own research and found that in 2008, Latinos were four times more likely to be arrested for possession of marijuana, hence choosing the year as the appropriate time for said plot. While there is currently no release date for this film, the film has found its final star in Cabot-Conyers.

For somebody so young, Cabot-Conyers has a long list of roles he’s had over the years. Along with Encanto and BlackAF, the actor has had numerous other roles in his childhood. At just eight years old, Cabot-Conyers had three of his films released in one year. This includes Justine, Ode to Joy, and The Artist’s Wife, all released in 2019.

With 2019 being a busy year for Cabot-Conyers at only eight, It seems that he’s certainly made an impact in the child acting industry.

With filming for Skeleton Crew already wrapped up, the production of Beneath The Grass shouldn’t have to worry about Disney getting in the way of their filming as Cabot-Conyers currently has nothing else set in stone with Disney yet.

However, with the ever-expanding Star Wars universe, Lucasfilm or Disney might be making another phone call sooner than you’d think. The future’s looking bright for this young actor, who could consider reprising his role in Star Wars upon request.

Before further speculating on that, we’ll have to sit back and watch Skeleton Crew set to premiere later this year.
