5 candidates for the mysterious masked Inquisitor’s identity in Ahsoka
By James Reeve
Ezra Bridger
Ezra’s disappearance at the end of Rebels is the primary link to the Ahsoka series, which will see the aforementioned former Jedi searching for her missing comrade.
Quite some time has passed since Ezra disappeared, and it’s quite possible that Thrawn was able to ensnare him and work on converting him over to his side, possibly through torture and manipulation of some sort.
Little is known of the overall plot of Ahsoka, with her search for Thrawn and answers on Ezra’s whereabouts opening up plenty of avenues, especially with Baylan Skoll, Morgan Elsbeth and the Ghost crew all set to appear.
Having Ahsoka’s search find Ezra turned to the Dark Side, or being mind-controlled, giving her a clear focus after many years of looking, would be an obvious narrative choice to pursue.
Having Ezra on side would make Thrawn even more of an impressive adversary, and would truly tug on the heart strings of the Ghost crew, especially with Sabine still holding onto Ezra’s lightsaber after all these years.
It’s the most obvious choice, and one that many fans are determined will come to fruition, but is it truly what we will see once the show hits screens this summer?
