Warning: Spoilers for The Fallen Star Ahead
One of the most beloved characters from Phase One of the High Republic is the Wookie Jedi padawan Burryaga Agaburry. He debuted in the first novel, Light of the Jedi, and was a recurring character throughout the Phase. He wielded a blue crossguard lightsaber, something unique to the character.
During the great hyperspace disaster, he made the discovery that several of the starship fragments had people still alive on board and thanks to his discovery many lives were saved. Later on Valo he helped fight back against the Nihil attack, again saving many lives in the process. He never hesitated to help others, more than willing to put his own life on the line. Unfortunately, he was one of the many Jedi aboard Starlight Beacon when tragedy struck.
As Starlight Beacon plunged from the sky and made its fiery descent in the final pages of The Fallen Star, one Jedi padawan stood tall and bravely faced down a rathtar in order to help his fellow Jedi escape. Burryaga Agaburry the Wookie padawan fought bravely till the end. The loveable padawan was presumed dead in the aftermath and has not been seen since. Bell Zettifar refused to believe that his friend was dead and his fate is still unknown.
However, all hope might not be lost. Earlier today on Twitter, the official Star Wars account teased that Burryagas fate would be revealed in the upcoming episode of The High Republic show on July 5th. The tweet features a missing persons ad on the side of what looks to be a blue milk carton.
The High Republic has been no stranger to killing off characters throughout its run so itβs nice to see that all hope is not lost for Burryaga. The High Republic Show has made many exclusive reveals so for them to be revealing Burryagas fate is not something out of the ordinary. The High Republic Show can be found on the official Star Wars YouTube channel and anyone eager for more High Republic goodness should tune in!
