As a Star Wars fan, it can be challenging to come face-to-face with a break in new stories. Summer is an especially difficult time for lovers of the franchise since it’s typically when Lucasfilm takes a break from releasing new Disney+ shows.

But not to worry! It may be a quieter time in Star Wars media overall, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy what’s already here — or speculate about what’s to come.

Here’s your survival guide to help you get through a Star Wars break.

Revisit the Star Wars stories you love

A lack of new Star Wars content is the perfect opportunity to go back and watch, read, listen to, or otherwise enjoy the stories in a galaxy far, far away you already love. Maybe it’s been a while since you watched your favorite movie. Or there’s a favorite Star Wars book from your childhood that you haven’t revisited in years.

Now’s the time to remind yourself what you love most about Star Wars by spending time with the stories that comfort and excite you.

Try something new (to you!)

It’s also the perfect time to finally get around to the Star Wars stories you may have missed out on while all the new stuff has been releasing. Books! Comics! Maybe there’s a Star Wars documentary you’ve never seen, even though you’ve always meant to watch it.

Now’s your chance to explore new Star Wars stories (for you) even if they’re technically not new to everyone.

Contemplate the Star Wars that’s yet to come

There is a lot of Star Wars on the horizon — movies, TV shows, books, and more are all on the way. Even though it might be a while before the story you’re most looking forward to comes around, there’s nothing wrong with a little speculation.

Grab a friend (or any fellow Star Wars fan you like to hang out with) and set aside some time to bounce ideas back-and-forth — without the fear of being judged or challenged on the internet!

No new Star Wars? No problem! You’re now equipped with everything you need to survive the lull until more new Star Wars arrives at your fingertips.
