Rosario Dawson is the star of the upcoming series Ahsoka which premieres in August on Disney+. These days, she is busy promoting her film, Haunted Mansion, along with the rest of the cast. In an interview with Fandango, Rosario was asked who her favorite force ghost is. It didn’t take her long to reply that it’s Anakin.

Rosario explained that Hayden Christensen had no idea what he was filming, hence why Anakin was shown so “smiley”. Apparently, Hayden would’ve done the scene differently if he’d known what he was filming, but according to Dawson, “George just got this extra scene of him and just sort of threw him in there which I just think is kind of amazing.” She added that she likes the “very reluctant force ghost”, while describing force ghost Anakin, as Hayden wasn’t aware of what he was filming.

Of course this begs the question of whether Hayden Christensen got to portray force ghost Anakin for the Ahsoka series. Perhaps that’s where he told her the story of how he ended up as Anakin’s force ghost in Return of the Jedi. Rosario didn’t divulge any details on that, but perhaps her answer to the question was a hint of Hayden’s appearance in the upcoming series.

Hayden could appear as force ghost Anakin which would allow Ahsoka and Anakin to interact with each other for the first time since The Clone Wars Season 7, right before Anakin turned to the dark side. It’s a meeting and a reunion of two friends, and a Master and his Padawan, something that many fans have hoped for since the heartbreaking ending of the series. It wasn’t exactly their last meeting, they met and fought against each other in Star Wars Rebels many years later, this time as enemies.

This was the duel that many believed had ended with Ahsoka losing her life, until Ezra Bridger entered the World Between Worlds in Season 4 and saved Ahsoka’s life. There’s no doubt that it’s time for Anakin and Ahsoka to meet again. They’ve got a lot to catch up on, and hopefully, Hayden Christensen will play a significant role in Ahsoka.

Ahsoka premieres August 23 on Disney+.
