Star Wars book fans waiting to learn more about the stories set to appear in the upcoming short story anthology From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi finally got the answers they’ve been waiting for this morning.

The official Star Wars Books account posted a thread revealing the titles, characters, and story premises for each of the anthology’s 40 stories. Each of the book’s 40 authors are now connected with a character that, until now, may have played a smaller — but no less significant — role in 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

Some of these upcoming “points of view” include Bib Fortuna, Malakili, Wedge Antilles, and many, many more.

FACPOV: ROTJ is the third installment in a series of short story anthologies chronicling the events of the original trilogy Star Wars films A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. Each book thus far has contained 40 separate stories written by 40 different authors, released in the 40th anniversary year of each film. (Return of the Jedi came out in 1983; FACPOV: ROTJ will release in 2023, 40 years later.) The previous books released in 2017 and 2020.

This year’s anthology, much like the corresponding collections before it, includes stories by veteran Star Wars authors as well as newcomers to the Star Wars canon pool of authors. Several returning authors will have stories published in all three anthologies.

The thread linked above provides story titles, brief excerpts, and corresponding authors for each of the book’s 40 stories.

From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi releases everywhere on August 29, and is available for pre-order now.
