Beginning with a two-episode premiere in August — continuing an ongoing trend for new Disney+ Star Wars shows — the Ahsoka series will keep viewers occupied, but only for a short time.

Ahsoka, the unofficial Rebels sequel

While we’ve known about the Ahsoka series for quite some time, the past few months have flooded Star Wars fans with more information about the show. Most notably, several fan-facorite characters from the animated Star Wars Rebels series are set to appear, including Hera Syndulla and her loyal yet grumpy droid Chopper.

While the show isn’t technically a sequel to the beloved show, it will prominently feature one of its main players, Sabine Wren, further exploring her relationship with Ahsoka, the Force, and plenty of things we don’t know about yet.
