Obi-Wan Kenobi actor Ewan McGregor is heading to FAN EXPO San Francisco this fall. And he’s just one of many Star Wars actors set to make an appearance at the convention.
The event — set to take place this November — “brings together fans of comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, gaming and cosplay to celebrate the things they love the most.” Now in its second year, FAN EXPO San Francisco welcomes attendees of all fandoms for three days of celebrity photo opportunities, cosplay competitions, panels, workshops, and so much more.
In addition to McGregor, other Star Wars fan favorites include Vivien Lyra Blair (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Carl Weathers (The Mandalorian), along with other non-Star Wars creators and more celebrity guests to be announced in the weeks to come.
Carl Weathers is best known in the Star Wars fandom for portraying Greef Karga across all three seasons of The Mandalorian. And Vivien Lyra Blair made her debut in a galaxy far, far away playing young Leia Organa alongside McGregor in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
After years away from the Star Wars franchise, McGregor officially made his comeback in 2022 when the Obi-Wan Kenobi series aired on Disney+. Though his return to Star Wars had been announced long before that, the actor’s enthusiasm for reprising the role he hadn’t taken on since 2005 was more than enough to grant him a warm welcome home.
Now that he’s back in the convention circuit, more fans have the opportunity to meet one of the galaxy’s greatest and bravest heroes.
FAN EXPO San Francisco will take place from November 24 – 26, 2023 at Moscone Center West. For more information and to purchase your tickets for the event, visit FAN EXPO San Francisco.
