In the lead-up to the release of the Ahsoka series, the official Star Wars Twitter account released new character posters highlighting the main players in the upcoming Disney+ series.

First to be revealed were the “rebels” of the series — none other than Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, and Hera Syndulla. While this is not the first time Ahsoka has appeared in live-action — her character made past appearances in both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett — the show will mark the first time Sabine and Hera will make the move from animation to live-action.

Sabine and Hera were several of the main characters of the animated Star Wars Rebels series, where Ahsoka also made some notable appearances in her original animated form.

The second round of characters and their posters are new faces to the franchise. The antagonists of the series depicted in this second wave of posters include Baylan Skoll, Shin Hati, and Morgan Elsbeth. Two of these characters appear to wield orange-colored lightsabers.

Though little is yet known about these characters themselves, we do know the actors portraying them. The late Ray Stevenson will play Skoll. Ivanna Sakhno plays Hati, and Diana Lee Inosanto plays Elsbeth.

Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Ahsoka. Natasha Liu Bordizzo will make her debut as Sabine, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead will portray fan-favorite pilot and general Hera.

The show is said to take place around the same time as Season 3 of The Mandalorian, though it is not yet clear if characters from that show will cross over into this new miniseries. The shows are all supposed to be connected, however, so it’s possible more character posters will release as the show’s episodes premiere.

Star Wars: Ahsoka arrives with a two-episode premiere August 23 exclusively on Disney+.
