It’s almost Ahsoka time! On top of the hype for her upcoming live-action show, yesterday was also the 15th anniversary of The Clone Wars movie, Ahsoka Tano’s first appearance. To celebrate, Star Wars’ Twitter page put together a fun video.

It is a fancam for Ahsoka Tano, covering her various appearances from The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Tales of the Jedi with the text reading, “15 years of Ahsoka Tano.” It’s a delightful edit, and it’s clear the creators had a fun time with the video.

Fancams have become popular in the last few years, especially on platforms like Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram. According to Fanlore, “A fancam is a recording of a celebrity or public figure taken and/or circulated by fans. They are particularly popular in K-Pop fandoms on Twitter. The most common fancams are taken during a musical performance, during which idols are usually dancing. Fancams will follow a single member of the group.”

Ahsoka Tano first premiered in The Clone Wars movie to mix reviews. While she was an instant fan favorite for some, it took time for the character to grow into the beloved figure she is today. She was voiced in animation by Ashley Eckstein alongside Matt Lanter as Ahsoka’s Jedi Master, Anakin Skywalker, and James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Rosario Dawson has taken up the mantle of Ahsoka Tano in live action. She already appeared in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, and she is poised to step into the limelight with Ahsoka out next week.
