This article contains spoilers for Ahsoka episode 4 “Fallen Jedi”

Following up on the events of Episode 3, “Time to Fly,” we open on Seatos where Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren’s ship is still damaged after the fight with Shin Hati and Marrok. As the droid professor Huyang works on repairs, Sabine calls for their friend Hera Syndulla stationed on the New Republic ship, Home One. The call doesn’t work, so Sabine steps outside to find Ahsoka.

Who is pondering a difficult thought: If the enemy has the map to find Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger, and if Ahsoka and Sabine can’t recover that map, then no one should find those who are missing.

Sabine refuses to agree with her as they debate if Ezra’s life is worth the galaxy’s safety.

The heroes then decide to set out to find the enemy ground base as Huyang continues repairs.

But in the trees, a mysterious droid lingers and calls into the baddies. Shin tells her master Baylan Skoll and Morgan Elsbeth they found Ahsoka. Baylan tells Shin, Marrok, and their droids to move in. Morgan asks Baylan if he is afraid. He gruffly answers that his tone is from “experience.”

The title card plays, revealing “Part Four: Fallen Jedi.”

As Huyang continues repairs, Sabine dons her Mandalorian armor and panics, searching for something in her bag. Ahsoka tells her to relax, and Sabine plays it off that she’s fine.

Ahsoka cuts to the heart of the issue: Sabine’s concern over Ezra, stating, “Sometimes we have to do what’s right regardless of our personal feelings.”

Then, as Huyang makes some progress outside with their ship, he’s attacked by Morgan’s assassin droids! And Huyang battles back in a metal hand-to-hand brawl with all four of Huyang’s arms sprouting out in the fray to fight!

Sabine and Ahsoka leap outside to join them, quickly taking out the attacking guards and assassin. Huyang tells them to stay together, and the Master and Padawan move out to find the enemy base.

Back with Hera, Chopper, and her son Jacen Syndulla, Hera leaves without authorization from the New Republic to help her friends. They fire up their ship as the Ghost makes its live-action debut, looking great. As Hera soars away, she’s joined by a group of X-Wing pilots, including Carson Teva, crossing over from The Mandalorian. Together, they leap into hyperspace.

Back on Seatos, Morgan and Baylan debate the calculations of the hyperspace jump. She tells him to have faith and Baylan gruffly remarks he lost faith years ago. She uses her Nightsister magic to open the coordinates as they begin to plot their route to Thrawn.

As Ahsoka and Sabine sprint through the woods, they’re stopped by Marrok and Shin. The combatants prepare their duels, breaking up: Sabine vs. Shin and Ahsoka vs. Marrok for round two. It’s a race against time as Morgan and Baylan begin to load coordinates into their mega-ship, the Eye of Sion.

Ahsoka strikes a killing blow on Marrok, who explodes into a cloud of smoke! Shin looks on horrified, letting anger fill her. Ahsoka hurries ahead to get the map while the two young women continue their battle.

Morgan leaves Baylan to protect the map to prepare for her departure as Ahsoka arrives.

Baylan opens up that Anakin spoke highly of Ahsoka but then goads her about her leaving Anakin behind to become Darth Vader. When Ahsoka shuts down that line, Baylan says he wants to create a new way, even if that means it’s out of the ashes of Thrawn’s war.

They both draw their lightsabers, size each other up, and duel. It’s measured, each slice of their blades purposeful, with Ray Stevenson and Rosario Dawson giving masterful performances. Ahsoka fights, trying to get the map. She gets through, ripping it off the pedestal, but it burns her hand in the process.

Meanwhile, Shin escapes Sabine, fleeing into the woods.

Baylan is angry as Shin arrives. To protect the map, Ahsoka Force throws the young woman against the stone pillars. Baylan rages, pushing Ahsoka further and further back towards the cliff’s edge. Sabine joins the fray as the moral question arises from earlier:

Ahsoka wants Sabine to destroy the map, but Sabine hesitates as it’s the only way to Ezra.

Baylan forces Ahsoka over the edge, leaving Sabine alone to face the once-Jedi. Baylan calls out Sabine, telling her she won’t destroy the map. He cites Ezra as her only family because a bombshell reveal that Sabine’s family from Star Wars Rebels died on Mandalore thanks to the events prior to The Mandalorian and explained in The Book of Boba Fett.

He wants to help her find Ezra and invites Sabine to come with him to save Ezra. She hesitates before handing Baylan the map to Ezra. She then struggles to breathe as Shin begins to Force choke her.

But Baylan stops Shin, indicating that he will keep his word, unlike Ahsoka had in the past. They load up the last of the map to Morgan.

Thankfully, Hera calls into Huyang, saying they arrived at Seatos. Hera and Carson move in to stop the Eye of Sion. On the surface, Baylan destroys the map with his lightsaber as he and Shin take Sabine with them.

Baylan, Shin, and Sabine arrive on the Eye of Sion as Hera and her team move in to fight. Though, Morgan ignores the fighters and jumps to hyperspace. The almost-Holdo Maneuver takes out most of Hera and Carson’s fleet, leaving them alive but battered.

Back with Ahsoka, she awakens in the World Between Worlds and hears a voice call to her calling her by her old nickname, “Snips.”

Ahsoka turns, and Anakin Skywalker stands before her, where the episode ends.
