Dragon Con is a pop culture convention in Atlanta, Georgia, every Labor Day weekend. One of the biggest highlights of the Star Wars track is the yearly trivia finals. The nerdiest of the nerdy battle it out for the coveted title of being the best for the year.

It’s become a tradition that after the trivia finals, Star Wars at Dragon Con will release their qualifying test on their social media accounts for anyone who wants to try it. This is no simple test either. It covers all Star Wars, from movies, TV shows, video games, books, comics, and everything in between. The test is notoriously challenging, and this year’s was especially brutal.

Out of 50 questions, 27 correct answers were the threshold to qualify for the finals. Only 12 people out of 137 qualified. The top score was by Alex Damon from the Star Wars Explained YouTube channel, and he only scored 39 points! This year’s average score is 22 out of 50.

I decided to try my hand at this year’s attempt. I have no shame to say that I made about 10 really good guesses and came out with a score of 28 out of 50. As one of the residential animation-loving fans here at Dork Side, I was proud to get all the animation questions correct!

Dragon Con is a party like no other. It’s a particular kind of fan convention that you simply cannot understand if you have never been there. Separated across five hotels, the convention has over 20 tracks to choose from, with hundreds of hours for panels, workshops, and guests. This year was a bit different as many of the guests had to abide by the SAG-AFTRA rules, but it led to fun conversations outside of the norm. If you ever get a chance to get down to Atlanta for Labor Day weekend, you will have a time like no other. Maybe you will even face off against the Chess Jawa?
